There are five Boarding Houses at Moreton Hall all catering for different age groups:

Norton-Roberts is a modern purpose built boarding house accommodating girls from the age of 9 to 13. The house is run by Mrs Grace assisted by Miss James and a team of residential house tutors and house matron. The facilities include spacious dormitories, comfortable common rooms and a computer and games room. As well as the excellent sports facilities which the girls are encouraged to take advantage of there is an adventure playground for the younger girls and extensive grounds provide a wonderful environment for the children to play in and explore.

This is one of two middle school boarding houses providing accommodation for approximately sixty girls between the ages of 13 and 16. The house has been newly refurbished and now provides smaller dormitories and study bedrooms for the girls with a comfortable common room and kitchen facilities. Gem is run by Mr and Mrs Tilley who are assisted by Mrs Peat, the house matron Mrs Goulbourne and a team of House Tutors.

This is the second of the two middle school boarding houses providing accommodation for approximately seventy girls. The house is run by Mrs Parry assisted by Miss Groves and house matron Mrs Wright. Pilkington has also been newly refurbished and now provides comfortable accommodation with the addition of an extra common room with cooking facilities and a house laundry.

Girls in both middle school houses are encouraged to take on responsibilities and contribute to the life of the house, whether as a house prefect, mentor or member of a house committee, whilst house outings and socials help to contribute to the happy and purposeful atmosphere.The housemistresses head a team of tutors who are always on hand to provide academic and pastoral support throughout the girls’ time in the School.

Lloyd Williams
accommodates all the Lower VI girls who are housed in individual study bedrooms. There are two comfortable common rooms with cooking facilities, laundry rooms and a computer room. Each room has access to the school Intranet and the Internet. This year helps the girls to become more independent as they learn to cook and launder their own clothes. They are also encouraged to work independently and manage their time efficiently.

It is run by Mrs Denham assisted by Miss Walker and matron Mrs Hughes. A team of house tutors also help out in the house as well as providing academic and pastoral support to the girls.

This is our new Upper VIth house opened in September 2003 and providing individual and double rooms with ensuite facilities and Internet access. The accommodation is equivalent to that of a luxury hotel and incorporates common rooms with cooking facilities, satellite television and all modern conveniences on each of the three floors. There are two laundry rooms and a computer room on the ground floor and a large car park for that most important necessity of life!

The House is run by Mr and Mrs Collier assisted by Mrs Rincon and house matron Mrs Hughes. Once again the girls have the support of the house tutors who also help out with house duties.
