The Moreton Hall Foundation was established to harness carefully the financial support received by the school, allowing your donations, gifts and bequests to be used to generate maximum benefit for its pupils.
With your support the Foundation can continue to enhance Moreton’s development programme which has already seen the building of Charlesworth House, the refurbishment of the middle-school boarding houses, the construction of the All-Weather Surface, the building of Rylands House, and the covering of the swimming pool. The many generous gifts and benefactions have been a key factor in these developments.
We need your support to continue to develop the school - as an attractive, well-equipped, and secure environment. The Foundation will also continue to create bursaries and scholarships enabling students from different backgrounds to enjoy all that Moreton offers.
In the lead-up to the school’s 100th anniversary in 2013, the fundraising work of the Foundation will underpin the school’s development plans.
You can support the school in a number of ways: single or regular gifts, a gift of shares, or a legacy. You can also choose whether you wish your gift to support bursaries, building projects, or to allow the school to direct the funds to wherever they are needed within the overall development of Moreton Hall.
You may also like to support the Foundation by attending our programme of events. Forthcoming events include:

“Last night really was a memorable evening – Moreton at its very best. The programme was wonderfully varied and so ambitious. Wow! The music is such a high standard – the choir sang very professionally and both orchestras were brilliant. We sat in wonder at it! We could all see what professionals Susie and Gabi are, and gradually as the evening went on you could feel the love and affection for Emily and the point of staging the concert.
Roger (Emily’s father) said a few words at the end in the most touching and personal way …… so, a really successful evening in so many ways, and I’m sure all there went home in a very ‘feel good’ mood.”

This wonderful concert raised over £2000 towards the Moreton Hall Foundation’s Emily Higson Scholarship for an Outstanding All-Rounder.

Before his tragic death in July 2007, Richard Allen, Director of Fine Art at Halls Auctioneers, had been working on an initiative which was close to his heart; an Auction of Promises to raise funds to help educate talented artists. As a recent 'Auctioneer of the Year' Richard had already raised thousands of pounds for numerous charitable causes. With the support of Richard's family, friends and colleagues the initiative has continued and all funds raised will go towards funding an art scholarship in his name.
This auction was held on November 10th and Jeremy Lamond, Richard's former partner at Halls and Stephen Whittaker of Fellows and Sons stepped in to conduct the auction. It was a fantastic evening and over £30,000 was raised. |

A forward-looking school where
academic success and extra-curricular
achievements are valued equally.
Moreton is a friendly and open society,
not cluttered by petty rules, but with a
clear set of values agreed upon and
respected by all members of the school
community.
|
|
|
We aim to continue and enhance this
development programme which has
already seen the building of
Charlesworth House, the refurbishment
of the middle-school boarding houses
and the construction of the All-Weather
Surface. This will provide further
outstanding facilities and create
bursaries and scholarships enabling
students from different backgrounds to
enjoy all that Moreton offers. |
The emphasis is on learning
independence within the supportive
community, giving every girl the
freedom to develop as a responsible
individual with an awareness of the
needs of others.
One of the top-rated girls-only
boarding schools in the UK in
both academic and pastoral standards:
recent inspection reports justify pride
in our achievements and reinforce our
determination to build on success.
Facilities have been constantly
upgraded for more than 90 years,
often as the result of generous gifts and
benefactions.
|
Committed to providing an outstanding
education, Moreton Hall is a charitable
trust for girls-only from Year 4
upwards, although Moreton First will
be co-educational until the age of 8.

|
We need your support to continue
to develop the school - both as an
attractive, well-equipped, secure
environment as well as to encourage
girls from all backgrounds to benefit
from the school’s excellent curricular
and extra-curricular opportunities.
In the lead-up to the school’s 100th
anniversary in 2013, the Governors,
Principal and Staff at Moreton Hall are
launching a Foundation to underpin the
school’s development plans. |
|
Old Moretonians and past and current
parents will be invited to support the
school in a variety of tax-efficient ways
to achieve the school’s ambitions. |
|
 |
These ambitions include:
• bursaries and scholarships enabling
entry to Moreton aged 11, 13 and 16
at substantially reduced fees;
• the equipping and building of a state of-
the-art Science and Technology
Centre. The increasing number of girls
who study Science at A level
(currently over 50%) will be able to
develop their skills and talents in
facilities of the highest quality;
• the building of a Performing Arts
Centre, to include a stage, studio and
group practice rooms.
